pdoc gave this to me as a stabilizer.
Has anyone used it?
What dosage worked for you?
Side effects?
Thanks guys.
This is the fourth attempt, after having tried Tegretol, Topamax, and Depakote.
I feel like I am never going to find the right fit, so sick of this.

I used it for pain, not as a stabilizer and was on a seriously low dose...it made me suicidal though, so good luck.

I was just recently put on it as well. Haven't noticed any serious side effects so far, and do find that it has helped with my anxiety. I take 600mg/ 2x a day....don;t know of that is a low or high dose. Still getting used to it. I'll be interested to hear about your experience....

it's another off label mood stabalizer. It didn't work for me. Can also be used for pain. The studies did not come back to good as a stabalizer. But hey you never know!

Would be interested in knowing your experience with it. If this doesn't work for you, you could still try lithium.

i used to take it with no side effects in my case. helped with sleep, anxiety, and nerve pain. imo it is not very strong as a mood stabilizer, however that might make it a good place to start. plus its cheap

I take it for anxiety. I usually only take 600mg before bed, but lately I've been taking 1200 mg through out the day, including before bed, since I've been feeling more anxiety and depression these last few days. It calms me down. At first I felt really sleepy on a low dose but now I'm used to it.

I take the generic form of Neurontin, it's called Gabapenti, and most of em are right, it is cheap, very cheap in fact. I take it for pain, but honestly, I don't think it works that great for much of anything other than a way to get rid of your sex drive, lol. As far as side effects, honestly having a lower sex drive is about the worst one that I have found. Once in a while I get an upset stomach from it, but that's usucally cause I have something else bothering my stomach already. Goodluck with finding something that works. I've been trying for almost 10 years now and haven't found much of success.
