Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.
I am joyfully married (defying all statistics) with 2 teenage boys. I am a busy homemaker, dog lover, nature lover, camper, and hiker. I have bipoloar 2 and 4 other psych diagnoses - issues galore, yet very blessed.
I love to read, love the outdoors. I have been not-normal (up or down, depressed or hypomanic or facing extreme anxiety) for nearly 3 years. I am praying for some stability in my life, for my sake and the sake of those I love.
I adore gardening (veggies and flowers), reading (self-help fanatic), my family, my faith, and volunteer work.
My passions include proper care of the elderly, helping the homeless and hungry both in our country and abroad, preventing animal cruelty and working with shelter dogs, encouraging female prisoners, supporting sick children and kids and adults on chemo, and supporting our veterans.
I work in each of these areas to try to make some sort of difference. Some days it is all I can do to not crash and burn, but I do the best I can.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
