Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.

I've been dealing with some pretty intense depression but I started doing something that will end in disaster. No good can come from but now I just can't seem to stop myself.
On top of all that I'm a little scared, if I don't get a handle on it i'm going to end up in residential treatment and over Christmas that would be horrible. The truth is that I have nothing to blame but my poor decisions.
Things have just gotten sort of surreal. I'm great full that heir are pple that care about me, but I'm so afraid of my family finding out and I would be mortified. I think we've all know stupid things because of this disease but the ones that can get you killed are scary.

Here is my new brother, copper :) He's so tiny! Moo and Tuck were ok with him on first meeting. Rocket due to his severe aggression will never meet Cooper.

you arent alone, i think we have all felt exactly like you do now and we keep going forward. surreal life is the life we lead. that never seems to change. decisions good or bad. victim sometimes.. to our disorder often. meds, docs, do you have them? may help you have a more assured christmas.
Instead try simply to learn from the past without placing judgement. See what can be done differently. Change patterns as needed. Asking for help can be a big part of that. Just remember that you can not do it alone.
What ever it is... just stop!!!!... if you can't please reach out for help.. it will be there for you...
It's not to do with blame so don't beat yourself up it just makes you feel worse and you don't deserve it...
Huge hug of comfort for you and a blessing..x
What I do is try and slow down. Tell myself to think about things for a day - or two or three. When I'm like that I've learned to put off making any decisions, because it can lead to serious regret. I know how surreal it can feel. I'm glad you have ppl who care about you. Just try and relax and tell yourself to wait before you do things. Wait a day and see if it still seems right. Gentle (((Hugs)))
Do all you can, and I'm sure you are, to keep bipolar at bay but if it pokes through sometimes you need to let go of the guilt/ shame etc.
Learn as best you can to build more plans to prevent the same thing if you can (and accept it's not always possible).
