This thread inspired a poem on religion and war. this is the best poem I've ever written, as a peom on such a topic should be.


Two nations stood on opposite hills, and trumpets blared, banners unfurrled;

and screamed invective cross the void, and trumpets blared, banners unfurrled;

young men rushed down to kill and die as nuetrons blazed hot cross the sky, and trumpets blared, banners unfurled;

couraged by the prayers of priests, who safe behind thier sacred epists, watched below the slings and arrows fly, the mortals uncoiled in agoned cries, and trumpets blared, banners unfurled;

When asked to wit, to what, to why, you priests exhort good men to die?
and trumpets blared, banners unfurled;

The priests, indignent, a heretic thy!

cuase in epists long ago escribed, they dotted T's and us, our I's!

and trumpets silent, banners furled, and from God's eyes great teardrops pearled,

The priests of death wraught end, the world.

WOW FREE, THIS POST WAS ACTUALLY AN EXCERPT FROM MY SHORT BIOGRAPHY(SEE RECENT JOURNALS) THAT I WROTE LAST YEAR TO WASH AWAY THE PAINS THAT I WENT THROUGH DURING THE FIRST 28 YEARS OF MY LIFE.
