Wow talk about your mood swing. After being depressed for like more than a month suddenly I'm alive again. I feel like there is a bright flame burning within me I have so much energy. I can't sleep and I have to get up for work in like 4 hours. Might be an all nighter. I've been writing a windows program for like 6 hours straight and can't put it down. This is weird I can't figure it out how I could go from depressed to manic so quickly. This I don't think has ever happened to me. Anyone else have quick mood swings?

I am bi-polar(nos) no depressive phase I live in a constant state of what you are describing . why not sit back a nd enjoy the ride.

I rapid cycle but never really go low. Then I will hit a full blown manic state and go back to my rapids. The ride is usually good initially but the longer the mania the "good" feeling turns ugly. I'm glad Antony it's a good one for you. Enjoy away!

Yeah, I understand completely. You sound like you are getting manic. SO, if you start doing stupid shit, call your pdoc or go to the nearest er.

Yeah have done this before as well. Couldn't get out of bed for three days then BOOM! up cleaning house, planning things, etc. Rarely happens now (more so when I was in my 20's & 30's). Now my depression lasts longer and goes deeper and my mania gets higher and last longer to the point of anxiety/insomnia/psychosis! Feel good while you can. What goes up does come down. Hugs

I just kind of go with it - my mood swings were waaay less frequent on Lithium.. But I had to go off of it :-(

Thanks all, sounds like a common trend. Perhaps I need a med tweak, more lithium or something. Have to talk to pdoc.

I am the exact same as poster #1 - I have learned for the most part to enjoy the mania but knows that sometimes it can be a royal pain in the ass

I think it's getting out of hand, I still haven't gotten any sleep. I've tried but I just can't sleep, just toss and turn and I have this nagging headache. I see flashing colored lights when I try to go to sleep. I feel strung out like I drank way to much coffee but I haven't drank any. I hate it when mania turns on you, the fickle SOB! Haven't been able to connect with the pdoc yet. I think I'll try uping my lithium and zyphexia. Little extra antipsychotic never hurts;)
