Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.
But I wouldn't advise it.
Why don't you just punch the shit out of your bed or something? That may work.
If you think a panic attack is coming on then take your meds...maybe try half? And file those people's opinions under "BS" :-)
I can't really complain, I've actually done quite a lot today considering what I do on a normal day. I don't want to take a xanax and sedate myself b/c who knows what I can accomplish today? Then again, I might regret it if a full blown attack hits me and I didn't prepare.
This is an odd feeling. Usually I'm either just flat out depressed, or slightly overly hypomanic. I'm in between. Very odd.
"You gotta forget about those supposedly "normal" addicts calling you out on your xanax use"
I am not undersrtanding something here ... lil heellllp please?
The people that accused me of abusing my pills were getting drunk and smoking insane amounts of pot. "normal" addictions. At least that's what I'm thinking it came from.
I turned off all stimulation, I was shaky and having problems breathing are you?
I raised my hands over my head and sang a song until my breathing came back to normal. It worked, trust me.
Sretching helped me. breathing techniques helped too. You are not going to want to do it at first but It really helped me.
Light a cnadle, your fav smell, it will calm your brain.
This is because you dont want to take a xanax right?
hugs
I could take a xanax to calm me down, but I'm getting so much stuff done that I don't want to stop just yet. I just hope that it doesn't turn into a full on panic attack.
It was when I was at uni, and it was a class as part of the music course. The teacher put on music, and told us to express ourselves/find our own space, so I proceeded towards the door to go to the dining hall.
She was asking me what the hell I was doing - I was like 'finding my own space - it's in the dining hall' hahaha
She didn't specifically state to stay in the room.
The shole stretching the arms up thing you mentioned reminded me of this. I am, however, of the 'go away with the hippy bullshit' variety. But if it worked for you, then that's great. I've heard of things like that working before.
