I am currently tapering off of Lamictal due to the side effect of severe cystic acne. It is a rare but very real side effect.
Lamictal seemed to be working for me, but the acne is making me suicidal. I am scared that there is nothing left for me to try.
I don't want to stop the Lamictal, but I just cannot go on with this acne. It is humiliating, scarring, bleeding, totally disfiguring.
Dammit.

Maybe stay on the Lamictal and try going to a dermatologist for the Cystic acne and getting on a med for that - like accutane? I have a friend on it for cystic acne and it works well for her.

what are you replacing the lamictal with? and please taper very slowly

im staying on lamictal and my dermatologist is starting me on accutane .. my pdoc said hes seen a lot of real success with it

Lamactil didn't work at all for me, no side effects either. I am sorry that are going through that right now

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus).
