i was just thinking about this very subject about an hour ago, it does suck!

We have a lot in common ya know :0) We'll beat this thing yet.

I hate mind fuckers. My ex was a genius at it. He drove me to a nervous breakdown. It took years to move past the abuse and the damage it caused.

But my older sister, God love her, can be a mind fucker too. She froze me out her entire pregnancy over a dog custody issue. And she lies straight to your face. I make her sound horrid but she did buy me a gorgeous Coach purse for my birthday and I've yet to get her anything for hers. Bad Sarah. I'm digressing and rambling but yeah, they suck.

I agree, and I think this is one case where "whatever doesn't kill you, makes you stronger" doesn't apply. The more you are exposed to that kind of mental torture, the worse it is. I have felt twice, physically like I've been bitten by a snake when listening to the same kind of BS by my sister. I finally cut things off for good from her, and feel much better now. I wonder how she's faring, but no way am I going to ask. God bless her from a distance!! I think those kind of people are chronically depressed about something, whether or not they are aware of it. And instead of being aware, they suppress the issue and project it onto others. that is one way it happens. To me, it's like a kind of water torture to be in a relationship with someone....doesn't bother you at first but once you realize it is going to be a continual, daily, frequent occurance, it can make you crazy!!! Drip, drip, drip, drip, drip.....

I agree whole heartedly. Some people are just born manipulators and they can play people like a song. I've had to cut off relationships with people who thought they could abuse me because i needed them and I so I had to take it. I realized i was far far better off on my own than dealing with them.

I used to think they didn't know what they were doing. I don't think like that now. Protect yourself because those things can destroy you from the inside out before you even realize there has been any damage. I would say get some real support to be able to get away from the person. Look what they are doing to you and you can get away. You just need to know what you have to do in order to do so.
