My Bestest DS friend Ever has been that to me for over 4 years, and we have yet to meet. Though I think she is coming to visit later this summer...:D I am SO looking forward to it!!


On the flip side, re: dating - I have "almost" married, ahem, a couple of DS'ers. (mistake!!)

I haven't met anyone from DS...I haven't met anyone from online in a long time...I've had too many bad experiences I think.

I have met a couple of my closest friends over the years in person from here. And as a matter of fact, I'm flying to Phoenix to meet another one this week. I'm reallly excited. We have become the best of friends.

Not officially, as of yet, but one of my very best friends in the world (I don't even think of her as a "DS friend" anymore, but this is where we met) is getting married very soon, and I am going to be a bridesmaid in her wedding! My non-refundable ticket is booked and my bridesmaid dress has been purchased, so there's no turning back now, LOL!

I am really cautious about meeting people from online - in fact I have never actually done it before - but she and I have had so much phone and other internet contact over the past few years. She is truly amazing and I feel totally comfortable and safe with her.

My thoughts would be go slowly, be careful and be sure. But she truly, truly is the best thing that ever happened to me because of this site. If you help me to remember, I'll report back in a month or so after the wedding!

Sure - my best friend came from DS and now we hang out in the real all the time. A few others I have met also.

I almost met a friend I made on here once until I discovered everything she said to me about her perfect life with her husband, etc. was a lie and she was really just after my vagina. ahaha. Someone posted a topic about this today, I wanted to respond but the brain isn't working so good so I didn't.

Look, there are good and bad apples everywhere you go, and even though I was tricked by one friend out here doesn't mean I wouldn't take a chance to meet other people here. Some of the people I confide in the most are from DS.

I really don't see it any different then meeting people on the street. You take a chance and see what happens.
Sometimes they just want your vagina, sometimes they turn out to actually care about you. if it's the latter it's worth it me thinks =)

Well all my old friends have been zapped in the brain and are not out for my best interest anymore lol.. I know it sounds crazy but damnit it's the truth.. Even jacked up on all these meds I still have the same thoughts about them... Well anyways I would like to meet someone cool down to earth male or female on here close to north georgia that I could hang out with or something and not feel ashamed to think the things I think when in public. Nobody should!!! but I know that someone that has been through the ringer as many times as I have would understand better lol...

Yes, I have. But we met on another site and later migrated over here. We're not local to each other at all. We're 4,000 miles apart!! We saw each other for two weeks and had a wonderful time!!!!

I've met a couple of my friends from DS and they've been wonderful experiences. I hope to meet more of my friends sometime in the future! There are so many great people I'd love to meet!

I married one and that was a disaster ha!.. however one of my best friends was on here and there have been a couple of people I talk to on the phone.. very good experiences.. there have been a few marriage happen here that have been good one..x

I've made some very good friends here but never met any in person.

I met one friend from DS and I can honestly say it was the best weekend of my life. I'm saddened to say though that she passed away almost 2 years ago. I wouldn't change that experience for anything in my life. I miss her so.

Yes, I met someone once and it was a good experience. He's hardly ever on here any more and I miss him!
