I do on a regular basis, or at least attempt to, while I find it to be peaceful, I very rarely get to the point where I can not think of anything at all - it seems to be the most difficult thing for me. Nevertheless I do find it a very good exercise and it allows me to quiet my mind.
I did watch the video, but was always under the impression that one needs to focus completely inward during meditation? But would like to learn more.
What did you have in mind?
