Hi! So I posted on here awile ago regarding the same topic. Now I am on Lamictal. It caused nightmares, I beleive. And it is so seditating. I had a terrible panic attack this morning. It lasted at least a half hour.
So, to try another thing for depression. I am on my fourth medication change is last couple months. I hate this. Nothing works/everything has intolerable side effects.
Hope you all are well.

We have very different experiences of lamictal. I found that it kept me awake so I was taking it in the morning until we did a twice a day. I'm sorry you are having so many side effects. For me, it's a combination of medications that work, not just one. I have had horrible side effects with several including abilify and seroquel. Talk to your pdoc and see what your options are.
TheWickedAngel
Yep, doing that. It just makes me angry I find the right combo of meds and then, the insurance stops covering or I have new insurance that won't cover it and i have to start from square one again. and try endless fucking combos and drugs and shit and suffer so that insurance company can make MORE money.

Big hug for you WA...... I had to stop Lamictal for other reasons..... It took me quite a while to find the right med regime but now that I have I have been on the same cocktail with a couple of tweaks for many years.... I hope you will find it soon and I hope your insurance company will cover it..... xo

Hugs and love to you. I have Prozac for depression but I also did well on celexa. It sucks finding what works but keep at it. Side effects suck. I tried four or so in a months time and the side effects were horrendous.

I think I just got put on that no problems so far except for insomnia for me. I was taking invega for years and it was awesome for me but it was to expensive for me to continue use
TheWickedAngel
Invega was wonderful for me. Yes, that is the problem I keep running into. The only meds that work are too expensive. So, I have to switch & then everything goes wonky. It keeps happening. I am having pre-psychotic symptoms now, waiting to hear back from DR. I don't think I will have to do inpatient, but maybe partial hospitalization.
TheWickedAngel
Update: Talked to the Dr. and are upping the abilify. Feeling much more stable and no need for any type of hospitalization.

My pdoc said it's a guessing game to see what works. Went to mine today and he increased the Prozac and Focalin. Hope we all get the right combo. It's frustrating and I have told him that.

Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.
