Med change update.

I'm off the Latuda and the Abilify has been increased  to 5mg.  It makes me so sleepy, I'm in bed much of the time.  I haven't been this sleepy in years and that was when I developed hypothyroidism.  I declared today a "sick day".  My body feels so week.


My psychiatric nurse practioner said this would happen.

You are one step closer to feeling better now that the meds switch is complete. I found the sleepy side effects of Abilify to decrease with time. I hope that side effect goes away for you!

It takes a while when you start a new med give yourself 2-3 weeks to adjust.

I agree, it takes a few weeks to see how it’s going. I know that when I’ve gone through med changes I felt it helped to check in with a therapist alongside it to interpret and talk about how I was doing with it. (Just my experience!) I still do a sort of med check in with the talk therapy. It always felt overwhelming for me to assess until I got on a good combo that worked for me. Its okay to take a sick day! I hope things will start improving very soon….and keep communication open with the pdoc! Sending hugs.

    I've been on high dose prednisone for pneumonia, and now I am slowly weaning. But lots of symptoms I don't like having, plus overeating has put at least 10 lbs on me. The food is "loud" as the GLP-1 users refer to it.Also pressured speech. Which comes out in my posts. Sorry I posted so much. I just need an outlet for my agitated and irritable brain. Just scroll on by my posts, if they are too...
