Have you ever felt you could probably benefit from going into the hospital....but don't because you figure you won't be able to smoke and can't stand the thought of the added stress?

Hey all, i know its been quite awhile since i posted on here. Its been a summer all right. Its been something else........... You know how they say not to open the can of worms? Well a few months ago i decided to find out what my due date would have been for my first baby, the one conceived by r***. My baby would have been due on March 4th of 2006. They would be 20 years old. I was R**** on June...

Also, I've read somewhere that there was a high level of smoking amongst schizophrenics, that they found it grounding. So maybe if it medicates you somehow, I can see it.
But there are alternatives, so it shouldn't preclude hospitalization when you need it.
It's not like alcohol doesn't ruin people's lives.
Not a stupid question at all. I think any of us that have been inpatient, and many that haven't, can relate!
Every hospital is different though.
I just gave the longest dumb answer and cancelled it.
I'm too depressed. Mood stabilizers are out for varied reasons.
I'm on a lot of not psyche meds. I think I need an AD..but am very fearful of becoming too manic too fast.
That's how long my first answer was..:-)
It's pretty much the same things that make me not want to go to jail.
