I am having success using very small amounts of thc to help handle my anxiety and depression. I think the key here IS medicine, not a good time. I am taking such a small amount. The initial high is an unwanted side effect that goes away in 1 hour. I only take 1 hit in a pipe or 2 a day. I don't get munchies or fatigue on this amount. It is only an attitude adjustment and it holds on with that little bit. Pretty excited about it really. This is medical marijuana.

I use with doctors knowledge and it helps tremendously but will tell you this , I am BP1 straight 100% manic no BP related depression (do have SAD tho) and have had a few doctors thru the years since I started to use the marijuana (was first suggested by a neurologist to combat neuropathy and issues from brain tumor) tell me that they would not agree to me doing so if I was BP 2 instead so thats just something to think about as I do believe it has to do with the depression part of the illness

I have heard different things. If you are depressed it is not a good idea and then I have heard that it helps your mood. I would love to be able to smoke pot but it is illegal where I live and am afraid of getting caught with pot and losing everything I have which isn't much but it is mine. I say if it helps go for it.

Well that seems strange since bp2s are more depressed. More exploration needs done too cause most doctors would prescribe me way too much and then it wouldn't be working for me. Marijuana can cause anxiety to worsen. And it could certainly make me lethargic which would not be helpful for depression.

I do just about the same thing that you do, Lorna. I know damn well that it helps me. I can actually feel the lift.

I use it to help with depression from my bipolar. I love the stuff and have had very positive results from it. Peace XO

I agree in small amounts in the evening it stops the OCD and changes my mind set and mood to a more liveable level.

Also helps the sex drive.

My religion keeps me from drinking and taking non-pharmaceutical drugs (even medical pot would be considered a drug). If this were not the case, I would do it.
