depends, i have seen it help depression.

for me, i am a freak on it, used to not be, i could smoke and be fine.
now its a set back if i try. i basically shut down for the first 20-30 min. my relatives in common, have this same experience.

person to person is different.

I was 17 when I learned that smoking marijuana was a gift from God. While others claimed to be "stoned" or paranoid, I found a calm inside my head. The voices blended to one and the confusion turned to focus. Drink a little and its therapeutic... Too much and it will destroy you. We should all know the difference between Use and Abuse. Marijuana is the same. A little in the late afternoon to end the days emotional ride (office work) and calm the anxious feelings. I stopped smoking in my 30's at the request of my wife. A few years later I had my second total breakdown. That's when I started the meds. But they just get me close. Marijuana may not be legal, but without it I am sure I would be forever lost.

It made me paranoid..but only after I started taking BP meds.Before that I was OK with it.

Smoked quite a bit back in the 70s and it wound up not doing any good. It might have been better if I had smoked less or drank less or not used speed. My attitude is that if it does you good then that's fine.

It makes me totally paranoid so I leave it alone. I do know that it helps some people relax and don't have a problem with others smoking it.

I have pain with my depression. Grass helped with the pain but did nothing for the depression. I only tried it a few times.
The Ontario government allows for prescription marijuana but the quality is known to be poor (weak).
My source came from a friend of a friend .....The problem is/was that the is source is illegal. I am not prepared to break the law.

I smoke a little sometimes and it really helps me calm down.

I used marijuana and only smoked the best...I don't use it anymore because of my nephew and the fact it makes me lazy and paranoid.

induces psychosis in me, too often- and it doesn't go away when the stonedness wears off. So don't smoke much (very very rarely now)..I kinda envy people who can smoke it without consequence..who find it 'relaxing'

If you have any family history of schizophrenia you are strongly advised to give it a miss. It can awaken latent schizophrenia (in those with susceptibility) & that would never be worth it.

I know it helps me. I dont do it very often... in fact, not in awhile. My husband is going to AA meetings and I didnt think it was a good idea to do it around him. I miss it.
