I need to know the difference. Manic has to be something that lasts a week or more and Hypomanic is something that can come and go with in minuites/hrs/ days?
I find I cycle a lot. I don't think any meds I take will help that. I go from being happy and rairing to go elevated moods to down in the dumps in a matter of minuites. Then I might go back up again for hrs then go back down. Repeative cycle.
When your manic can you get bouts of depression in it as well?

it sounds you are rapid cycling - but someone might know better.
What are good meds for rapid cycling and mixed state?
I was also prescribe Risperdone o.5 mg and when I started to take it i noticed I had a problem getting up in the morning, just couldn't get up- Not good if u have a toddler to take care of .
Then I think it could have been because I was in a mixed state/rapiding/ feeling depressed. That it was that and not the meds
