Just curious, I know mania can turn you into almost another person...so what or who is your alter ego? What would you name that side of yourself? In other words...describe the person you become when manic.

Superwoman, can do it all - and the shame is, I usually do - so when its gone, and I'm a mere mortal - LOL now depressed, it sucks..

I do not compare myself to others, I compare myself to my best, most exciting, profitable manic....

I'd have to say 'I can climb Everest' Woman. There is not a thing I would say no to, will take on far too much extra stuff (eg committees, volunteering), take on new ventures/businesses with extreme confidence and my social circle widens dramatically. All very exciting until I crash :(

I become the most energetic, hard-working super woman of the world. I can fix anything, answer any question, climb any mountain, and solve any problem. I begin to work toward opening up companies that I just know I can run better than anyone who currently has one, I start books thinking I have the wisest advice that must be written and shared, and I take on so many overtime shifts at work that I forget people are even supposed to sleep. It's such a shame the mania is always followed by a huge bipolar crashing depression. :)

Me, and I am convinced that is who I really am. It is hard to tell. It is scary because I am 10 foot tall and bulletprooof. I think I might be now but I am depressed too so I am in a mixed episode which I seem to suffer from alot. It is awful because I am chronically irritable.

I turn into the Life Whiswperer. Suddenly I'm in tune to all the roblems around me and try to fix them all. It'sw exhausting when I think about it.
