Well had a great checkup from my MD even blood pressure was only 124/60
But I feel like change sooooo,
Quitting smoking on my birthday June 16th and starting a weight loss mentoring program this Friday. Need to lose 26 pounds goal is to do it by Christmas and keep it off.
I know it will be tough with not smoking but one motivates for the other. I am 47 and it is time to get back to physical fitness. I have been thinking about how for months now so I can say it is not mania just a goal.
The diet will be the hardest, I dont like veggies soooo low fat protein and excercise but just low impact like walking.
Wish me Luck and Have a great day yourself.

Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.

I quit smoking 43 days ago. It felt great!
I feel great. And I've even lost a few lbs! Which is crazy good, considering both are the devil to conquer especially together. Maybe cliche, but if *I can....well, you know the rest!
You can do it!!
(Incidentally, I didn't recognize you with the new avatar. Is the dog a non-smoker?)

"goingthruthemotions revisited"
I quit smoking Jan 6th this year and it is very hard for a while... I just had to except it was going to suck and the cravings would be wicked for a while..
It lasted for about 6 weeks for me... Now they come the odd time and the benefits were apparent quickly
I need to jump on the diet wagon as well!!... Really soon...sigh
Good luck, mega strength and keep us updated!!!
Your goals are great !
I keep recruiting newbies for DS in the real world and thought I would show ppl how this place really can help by doing it myself.
My diet officially starts Friday with a mentor and coach, I have my health club membership and I am ready to go. I am already starting to eat better just need to get a good exercise program going.
I am going to try low impact workouts with elevated cardio 20min a day to start. Does anyone have any ideas of a good youtube program or anything that could help ( maybe motivational stuff I could load to my phone during my workouts )
Thanks again everyone!
I have to lose weight too. Someone here suggested having a plan for when you "Blow" it. I would agree. I just found out I can have shrimp so I get a little cocktail plate an think I am in heaven. Oh! and 70 calorie lime popsicles!!!! (Grahamn crackers when I am really hogging out). :)
Good luck let us know your progress.
