Lost my health insurance :(

I lost my health insurance due to financial struggles so I am out of all my medication. I do have a few left but I know that I need to get back on my meds in soon.

I have applied for new health insurance and filling out paperwork for a prescription plan so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I do feel myself spiraling downward, I'm not a happy place. I'm not miserable but I know that I am not the way I was when I was on my meds. I'm just hoping that I get my life back together and quickly!!!

I hope that you get some help soon to get your meds. Can you ask your pdoc for some samples, tell him/her what is going on.

Check with Walgreens and Target and Walmart...for a small fee , they have a meds program, where some meds are as low as 4 dollars .

Check with your pdoc for samples until you might get some insuranse coverage. Not sure how it works where you live, but, insuance companies here dont accept people ith BP. We recently lost our medical insurance and have to pay for our state comprehensive insurance which will cost us a huge amount of money per month and wont cover our meds.

Best of luck to you........but find a way to get your meds, make it a priority..........xo

Hope you can ride it out Allie and find a temporary solution. That needymeds site looks good. I think even an ER might help if you brought the bottle in.

I'v seen ads on tv that offer only medications insurance. Maybe someone on here has seen ads & know names of companys. maybe such insurance can be found through google.
Some Dr offc.s know of &/or can assist w applying for "medication assistance program ".
your Dr might have required samples.
I have a med that I'm to take,once a dy. quite sometime ago.aprox 8 dys left of mo I would have been w/o meds if I had taken med accordingly.my insurance won't cover same prscrip w/in same mo..so to make it to 1st of the following mo., I took med every other day.
I don't know if the Share care insurance program still offers medical &/or med prescrip insurance.That program is based on person income.

It takes how long before policy becomes active. counting out no of pills to match policy active date.

Try prescriptionhope.com. I've never tried it but you can get name brand meds for $18 and you don't have to be poor to get them.

I just looked on prescriptionhopecom and they do have lots of meds for bipolar disorder. It takes about 4 weeks to get your meds after the paperwork but it's only 18 dollars for each script. If I were you I would definitely check them out quick.

I just e that onto my formor brother in law, who works at state funded mental healthy center. That will help a lot of people. I'm also going to give info to in home care service that I use.
