....I am currently taking PROZAC and NUERONTIN for anxiety and depresion... combo has helped aleviate some of the symptoms, which is good. However, I have noticed over the last few months of starting the Prozac I have gained 12 pounds. I already deal with my high cholestrol and diabetes runs in my family, so unhealthy weight gain concerns me.
I have a feeling my Dr.might switch me to something more geared towards BP, but all that I read about weight gain seems to be prevelant. Is this really happening to most people being treated with things like Serquel, Lithium or Topomax? Or maybe its just a hit or miss I'm hoping..
The irony I gain weight and lose hair, lol..... I'm trying to stay positive.

Try Geodon over Seroquel, It is weight neutral, unlike Seroquel. I gained a ton of weight on Seroquel, but lost it all when my doctor put me on Geodon. It works well and the side effects are minimal and it doesnt make you groggy like Seroquel.

Topamax is also weight neutral

Thanks so much for the reply. I know you have to try things before you "rule them out" but I am just nervous.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper?
