Lithium user survey.

A friend put this in my head. I'm overly curious about the correlation between Meds and blood type, so I am surveying effects lithium had on certain blood types.

So what is your blood type
and how did/does lithium effect you?

k, I will bite... I am A Pos... and Lithium really seems to help... but, I am on other meds including Levoxyl...

dont know my blood type but lithium gave me the shakes like an alcoholic needing a beer!

I'm blood type O..... lithium placed me in a horrible mixed state the whole time I was on it (only 6 weeks), and physically I couldn't tolerate it. Interesting post

I'm AB negative and Lithium keeps me sane. When they dropped my dose rapidly i went totally manic. I take other meds too but I think Lithium does the most for me

No side effects, thyroid is good, renal GFR is good.

Mine is B+. Lithium was the first one they put me on. It made me feel dead.. so numb that I kept taking myself off of it.

B+ I don't know if it works for me because I have other triggers.
I get a fair few side effects but then I always do with everything.

A Positive..took Lithium for about a year,then started havng bad kidney levels..had to stop.
I really don't remember how I felt in those days..it's all kind of a blur.I just remrmber thirsty and peeing all time

A- Lithium worked fine for me but the weight gain was bad. Pdoc changed me to depakote.

O neg. Hair thinned out. No other symptoms.

I have no idea what type blood I have. I have also been taking lithium 1500 mgs for a while now and it works great with me.

    Wow, it's the middle of the week already!Today is our 11 year anniversary, so we're going out to a nice dinner.  I'm losing a lot of sleep these days, hence a wonky schedule and uncomfortable feelings.  But I know it will pass, eventually.I hope all of you have a peaceful day, and may good things come your way!
