Lithium augmentation or supplementation

Hi all, has anyone here used lithium as an augmentation or supplementation on top of other medications with a lower dose than is standard? What were the benefits if any? thanks

I was offered lithium on top of my lamotrigine, I think that's quite a common combo. I'd been on lithium full dose previously and didn't take up the offer.

I've never been on it in combination with anything but I was on it by itself when I was first diagnosed and I found it really helpful long before I got to a "theraputic" dose.

So many years ago I was on lithium, for 10 years. I couldn't tolerate it, only 300mg so I went off and was off all meds until 2010 went into hospital for depression. Thanks ml. I actually do eat an anti-inflammatory diet that's mostly plant-based. Was it lithium that caused your kidney failure?

    I've been on high dose prednisone for pneumonia, and now I am slowly weaning. But lots of symptoms I don't like having, plus overeating has put at least 10 lbs on me. The food is "loud" as the GLP-1 users refer to it.Also pressured speech. Which comes out in my posts. Sorry I posted so much. I just need an outlet for my agitated and irritable brain. Just scroll on by my posts, if they are too...
