Less social since BP treatment?

I seem to be considerably different in social situations now than I have been in the past. I hang back a lot and rarely join in conversation. I handle one on one okay, but in groups I'm lost. I used to chat freely and felt pretty comfortable around anyone. Now I feel awkward even around people I've known for years. Thankfully, because of our history they understand. I'm so lonely! This is only making my lonliness even worse. I don't know what to do anymore?

I can kinda relate. Although for me it's somewhat good because i'm less obnoxious too. but I dont joke as much or play around. I'm more stiff and serious. Just dull, really.

Just give out random hugs :-) People like that, or not if they have issues with personal space but that is a personal problem..

I can relate so well!
I am at heart an extrovert..love a good debate,any conversation..strangers ,kids,little old people standing in line with me in the market...since BP I am very different.I don't have the confidence anymore,I also have a shorter fuse,rudeness or bad behavior can set me off into a verbal tirade.
Hence I end up isolating myself too much

That may be because medications have brought you down some? If you were hypo or manic previously? Such states make us very gregarious & confident etc

Welcome to the Bipolar Breakfast Club. We change and the way people react to us changes. Then we change again trying to fit in with those who are changing because of us.......etc. My own personal remedy is hidding in my cave and only comming out briefly for food and water or to post on the forums in this case.

Welocome! This is me. For 30 years I could walk around a filled room smooshing with everyone and memorizing everyones name and then continue talking all.

No I arrive late talk to the host ad host. One or too others and leave.

I have had my fill. I will occasionally sit on a sofa and talk with who ever sits down ext to me. This is BP land

I have a nephew grad party tomorow night. Have to bring a salad. starts at 6. Will arrive t 7. Get brother son tog and give nephew gift. wander for 45 minutes. Go home. This is typical outing staying longer since family will be there and expect it

    My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
