I have tired everything I know of before I came to the conclusion to leave my husband.I haven't even considered filing for a divorce.I think if we separate for ahile then maybe he will realise that he needs help.As for paying the bills myself,well it isn't all my responsiblity.We both have obligations to keep this family together.Right now he chooses not to do that.I'm not saying it's impossible but until my husband realises he has a problem then we can't fix it.I am willing to do that but right now he isn't.

I feel so badly for you. You are right to see the seriousness of a porn addiction. Studies show it can only lead to worse, no matter how much the person thinks otherwise. I wouldn't want my children around it either. Do keep in mind that when he has visitation, they will be exposed without you there to run interference. I think if you've tried talking to him, then you have no choice but to separate and insist that the only way you will consider reconciliation is for him to get counseling, and to be serious about recovery. Porn addiction is very serious. Disconnecting the internet isn't the solution. There are too many magazines, as well as other sources. Good luck and you are in my prayers.

This is my second husband and we have no children together.I have 2 from a ptevious marriage so my current husband will not have my children alone together.

It's every bit as damaging as crack.

Looking at porn is altogether different than having a porn addiction. Same as alcohol. There are those who can have a drink here and there, and there are others who cannot do so without becoming addicted.

Never understood why guys for the mac and cheese when they have steak at home. It's like my brother and his girlfriend, I always ask him if he's happy in his relationship and he always says yes but he's always looking at porn 24/7. When I was with my last girlfriend every time I felt like looking at some naked ass I'd ask her to show me some and she'd be happy to oblige. Oh well, yet another one of those mysteries I guess.

My ex was a porn addict...I would get the hell out, getting rid of the internet won't solve anything...he'll find a way to satisfy his addiction, or change addictions...

However, divorce was the worst, most painful, miserable, awful thing...I wish it for No one, I'm not really finished grieving and it has been 15 months since it was final (and we had no kids together and basically have absolutely no contact...court ordered)

I know getting rid of the internet won't help.This is an addiction he has just like alcohol or drugs or something like that.I can't live this way and I won't live this way.It is very painful for me to make this choice but I can't live with an addicted man either.He has to want to get help and he just isn't there yet and he may never be.
