I just read somewhere that Neurontin is used for the treatment of anxiety in bipolar patients. It was prescribed to me by my neurologist several months ago for recurring neuropathy issues I have, but didn't know about the contraindication for anxiety. I take 600mg 3 times a day, but I still use klonopin for sleep and for those moments when life just gets to be too overwhelming.

It is a mild and preventative anxiety med, imho. More noticeable if I miss a dose.
I take 400mg 3 times a day. Been on it 4 years. Soon I will increase to 500mg. I increase slowly. My main side effect iis fatigu, but I'm doing ok enough.
I don't remember why I stopped taking it ...Neurontin is often used for pain management
