I still live in it? I have never heard of this before. It's a whole month a head of when I'm moving out and I don't want my shit stolen! Not only this but I don't want to be disturbed while sleeping or doing anything at all. This is a disruption of my life and I"m fucking pissed.

Last time I checked in the lease it states that they may not enter my apartment with out my consent. But they just decided on their own that they will show my apartment.

Not only this but the place is a total mess. I have boxes every where! And I admit I'm not the cleanest. I don't really plan on cleaning it just now either.

this is bunk! I can't deal with this!

maybe it's different in the states, but up here they have to give a 24 hour notice to show to potential renters. i'm not too sure why you're so upset though....you can't expect them to lose a month of rent by waiting for you to be gone before they show.

I just read the lease and sure enough it's in there. But I also read that just because something is written in a lease doesn't make it legal. I'm looking up tenants rights right now.

I'm upset because my house is a fucking mess right now. Boxes and things every where! Also potential thieves which is not unconceivable in this town. Not only that last time I checked they do not show anything they just take a drivers license and give them the key to come look at it themselves. At least that's how I was "shown" the apartment. SO yeah I'm fucking upset.

And yes I can expect them to go with out a month of rent that's just one of the down falls of renting out places. That and I'm unreasonable.

They can not just enter whenever they wish but have t give you 24 hours notice before they come in. Also I believe you can decline to allow them to show the apartment if you wish...... google renters rights for your state.

That is BS they just came into your space like that. They're lucky you didn't shoot them or kick their ass.

My landlord does quarterly inspections - I hate that. I hate anyone in my space.

It is absolutely legal and done often - you have been lucky to never have it before.

Every day the apartment is empty he loses money - the goal is to rent it before you move out - not have in empty a month or two...

24 hours notice - you don't have to clean, some don't angry and mad..

Totally legal and necessary, I always start showing the day I have 30 days notice to leave ((((BIG HUG))))

Most things can be discounted or sold, but hotels and apartment, house - the most perishable items there are - if you don't' rent, you can never get that income back!

I've pretty much come to terms with it.

But I still think it's bullshit. This is an invasion of my privacy. They can still rent it out with out showing it. I know because my sister and her bf rented their place with out being shown. So it can be done with out some one's privacy being invaded.

Still I really don't give a shit. They want to show this place in the state that it is that's their fucking problem.
