I like Lamictal too. Last time my doc tried me on it I got a rash on my hands. He told me to stop it then try again when the rash was gone. I didn't cos I was scared. Anyhow, now I am back on it again - it seems to really help me and this time the Doc is starting me slower and building the dose over a few weeks. This apparently makes it less likely that you get "the rash" which might end up being that syndrome. Right now I have no rash, been on it about a week and am going to persevere with it this time although it will take weeks to get up to a decent dose. This is because I remember how "normal" I felt when I tried it before.. I still take an anti-depressant in the mornings and take the Lamictal at night. Still not sleeping properly but hope that improves soon.

I took Lamictal for a while then stopped and tried to restart it without the tapering up. Not a good idea! I got the rash and had to stop. It's a rare reaction, but if you start low and build up, it shouldn't be a problem. I wish I hadn't screwed it up 'cause it worked great.

I 've been on it since Nov..I am taking 100mgs..I've gotten some zits and acne...no rash..you be the judge..don;t let people here scare you..be smart, keep an eye out for..sometimes peoples responses here cause me alot of worry and anxiety.

I got the rash. Two small spots and another grew to over a quarter size. I then used Mometasone ointment .1%(Elocon) and it stopped it dead in it's tracks. Now I'm healing. I'm no doctor but this worked for me.
