I just took my first dose of this , other than the rash has anyone had any other bad side effects??

No.

It took over 3 weeks to start to help me. And even after the build up at 5 wk at 100 mg-- I needed more.

Gradually I built up by 75 mg increments (I think!) to 300 mg.

I've been on lamictal for about 1 1/2yrs my dosage is 150mg twice a day now...and I think it's awesome!! just DON"T go off it without the doctors supervision!! definately not a good idea

Greatest mood stabalizer I've ever been on. Great control and my only problem was a little dizziness at 300mg so we dropped it to 200mg and it works like a charm. I've been without mania for years!

I've been on it for 5 weeks, and I haven't had any bad effects. I am now taking 200 mg once a day. My p-doc said a rash is a sign that you are allergic. Talk to your doc ASAP.

I've been on it for almost 2 months. The worst side effect I've consistently had is dry mouth. I can live with that. Otherwise, it is definitely helping I am at 150mg right now - started that today. We'll see if I need more - but so far it's great.

Been on it for almost 5 years. 300mg. currently - been great (with other meds). No weight gain or other issues I'm aware of. :)

400mg and no depressions really but still a little mania just switched to abilify tfor that and i hope it works but i love the lack of weight gain.

Loovvee Lamictal-no side affects-took about a month and it made a huge difference in the way I felt.love it

I was on it still am occasionaly. I am going to ask my pdoc about it as I have been going off my trolley fighting with everyone. My alters are happy though....x

every time I started my cycle I threw up, some people get bad pains during their cycle I was one of the unfortunate few, should be a good med for you.
