i'm in need of advice. my best friend used to live in the apartment above mine. we were always together in my apartment because it was nicer and i live alone. well his lease was up and he stayed with me for a bit (a week or so?) while he found an apartment. i went home for about 3 weeks or a month after i was hospitalized for an episode. he lived there that whole time, which was fine because i thought he'd keep it clean.
i came home to find he had accepted all kinds of furniture from people and was using my apartment as a sort of storage unit. he had also completely trashed my apartment, it was still very very messy when i got home (i had told him about 2 days in advance when i was coming home, thinking he'd have it ready when i arrived) and didn't change the sheets on my bed after he'd slept there for a month. maybe i'm being weird but, c'mon it's a little disrespectful.
so he moved out because he got a job and i didn't see him for a while. then last week i came to find him on my doorstep surrounded by all his wordly possessions. of course my heart melted and i had to let him stay. well the same thing happened. i would leave for work (i work 9-5, despite being the student in this situation - he graduated in may) and he would sleep in (migrating from the couch to my bed, i HATE people in my bed and he is really aware of this.) while blasting the air conditioning (which i pay for) and i would get home to find my apartment messier than when i had left.
this was obviously stressful and having had an episode only 2 months ago i'm really trying to control my bipolar and balance a 9-5, in addition to a lot of other stresses. this was just one more thing.
all i ask him to do is dishes & take out the trash. i clean everything else. he has done the dishes once after i nagged him for 3 days and he has never taken out the trash.
he sits at home on my computer while i'm at work and has yet to have a job interview. i am done.
he is my best friend, i love him to death and i know he is in a rough spot financially. but this cannot be my responsibility anymore. i'm afraid if i kick him out he'll be on the street or something. but it really can't be my problem. i have let him live rent free and have paid for food for the past week. it's time for him to find somewhere else to stay.
am i being completely selfish?

First pass word your computer that solves that problem and if there is a lock on your bedroom door start using it when you arent home - that is if you really cant boot him

I would very nicely boot him out and explain why. Its your space and it should be a peaceful one. He shouldn't be making a huge mess of your place, its disrespectful. Good Luck and lots of ((hugs))

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
