I feel kind of angry and frustrated today. I feel like I am on a kind of treadmill, managing my symptoms and having very little life to speak of - save for the managed illness.
I think I need to have gratitude for what I do have (and I do) I just feel like my most significant relationships are with my family and the rest are online. Online has been very important to me but I feel like since my last hospitalization there is some taboo monolith when it comes to just relating to others in person.
I liked how the leader of the NAMI-LA meetings put it once. Respect the individual who just happens to have mental illness too. I can't wait for our next meeting. I want to get rid of these feelings or barrier to having a good social life and maybe a cool job too.
I'll also write, it's VERY hot here today - so I suspect my frustration comes from the fact that I am sweaty my boots off. Heat almost always escalates stuff.
Have a good rest of the day friends.

I'm so glad that you're enjoying NAMI.... I think you're doing great reaching out...
There may be a Meet Up in your area... You could look online to see... People meet up sometimes just for coffee or other interests hiking or bowling ...It's a fairly safe and public way to meet new people
I do find with mental health disorders very little helps quickly... Things take time... Getting from point A to B is often done in small steps however you are taking those steps and kudos to you!!... It takes courage...xo
Sorry about the stifling heat. One day they will have climate control like in science fiction I think.
thanks too Moobbus!!
I am managing every day. It feels good to manage..and I take it seriously. It validates me to manage and that feels good. I do live my life now..more active than I used to be. Hope to continue to get more active and meet new friends around here. I like coming to see you all as well. :)

But yeah, after three hospitalizations, I feel like an outsider.
I feel the world has shown me over and over that I don't really matter or count , so I hide and isolate most of the time, I feel as tho I am not living the life I was born too.
I don't have much of a social life...I try to stay in touch with my friends, but they all work, and it seems they don't have time for me
:(
I hate summer.
I hope tomorrow will be a great day for you Malibu.
Do something just for yourself. Something in air conditioning.
Barnes & Noble? Iced Coffee at FastBucks? Is there an aquarium near you? Movie? Hobby store....learn someting new?
Churches are air conditioned too...I like the quiet when there's no one there.
Tomorrow is YOUR DAY!!
