Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.

I have been lurking a lot lately, and have seen lots of crap go down lately. Frankly I am glad I am not in all the drama. To my friends...thank you for helping me, hugging me and lifting me up...to the haters-go away. This is a place of fellowship and encouragement. We are here to lift one another up-not drag each other down. Now that I said that here is my personal update...
My mom is doing great. She will have permanent nerve damage in her legs, but physcial therapy helped a little. Her congestive heart failue meds have been changed and we will know how those are working soon. She is loving being a stay at home Nana to her grandogs. She has to see the surgical gynecologist oncologist every 3 months for 2 years (her first follow up in April 2).
As far as me...I have to wear a custom fit knee brace until I am old enough for a knee replacement( I will be 37 on the 19th). I put off another tune-up surgery and injections and went with the brace. I am hoping it will help some of my pain.
For the last year I have had numerous bacterial infections including MRSA twice, so we are going to do IV immunotherapy(IVIG). It is around $10K per treatment (every 3-4 weeks)but we are hoping it will help. I am lucky to have insurance and since I work at the Cancer Center I also get a 50% discount...but it is still going to be crazy expensive.
Anywho...thanks to all that make this a safe place for me to come and vent.
