Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.

It's been about two months since I saw a psychiatrist since he had to run back home out west and I had to go and get a referral from my family doc. I think he made a big mistake taking me off of abilify because since that happened I've been going through some pretty bad rapid cycling and the depressions have been pretty bad, with a lot of suicidal ideation invading my thoughts. Now I have to see another new doc and my anxiety is ramping way up, until I crash and start all over again. I hope this doc will use my input and not just throw me onto the medication roller coaster.
I'm not sure why I'm writing other than just yelling out for some help. Is anyone else going through this situation?
It's a hard road to tread seeing another doctor again so soon after I got used to this one. This will be my third psych doc in just five or six months and the cycling it's putting me through has me not eating and just pacing around until I fall asleep for fourteen or so hours. This is hard to bear.

Here is my new brother, copper :) He's so tiny! Moo and Tuck were ok with him on first meeting. Rocket due to his severe aggression will never meet Cooper.

I don't know why your pdoc took you off of abilify but if it was working well for you, you could ask your GP to reorder it for you..
I hope you'll be happy with your new doctor
Big hug of comfort for you...x
