I recently defriended my little sister on facebook. I got tired of the jokes. I know we all make fun of mental illness in general. We'd have to to blow off steam. This is about what it does to us that we can't help and we do it in solidarity.
She doesn't do this. She makes fun of the mentally ill. THERE is a difference. She's worked with the psych unit before as an employee at a hospital. So I challenged her in a very subtle way by saying that I remember the experience of which she spoke. She had the gall to comment that it wasn't personal. because of course "no one is affected by anything she does"(sarcasm)

so I'm not dealing with it anymore. She can find out the hard way that emplyers look at facebook when they hire new employees and she won't be working in the medical field anymore.
