I work for Amtrak. Its a passenger rail service thats nationwide so theres a lot of employees. The station I work at is a smaller station with only 6 employees and I feel we all have a good working relationship. They know I've been hospitalized before and they see the scars on my arms and I'm pretty sure they know how they got there. Anyway, I was having a conversation with one of my co-workers last night and he asked me how I was doing. I lied and said I was doing fine, not really knowing how honest I wanted to be with him. I did say that I've been dealing with low energy. He said all I have to do is just start small with maybe a gym membership. He said once I started going I would feel better and want to go more often. I then mentioned that I also have been dealing with low motivation. He didn't really know what to say to that. Whenever I talk to anybody about how I'm doing it seems like its so easy for them to say"all you have to do is this or that and you will feel better." Is it really that simple? Am I making things more difficult? One thing they don't seem to understand is, its not that easy to "just do it."

Mom and I have errands to run this morning. She said we can get sushi for lunch though. I go back to work today. What are you looking forward to this weekend?

Quick, before the evil MONday gets here! Let's climb those mountains, dance in the meadows, dip our feet in the ocean....Okay, so most of us won't be doing any of That. Sadly. But today can still be a great day!The area behind our back fence is on an incline, with less than two feet on even ground at the top. I don't balance well enough for the incline, but our mower guy mows that...

I experience similar feelings....from well-intentioned people telling me it's just that simple. They aren't taking the meds we take and while it's not our responsibility to tell them, they could never know without *feeling* the meds the way we do.
I have been experiencing exhaustion lately and my workouts have not been as steady as they once were....and I keep saying I'll join a gym but I know I won't be comfortable going. I do try to do at least 15 minutes a day of a pilates routine I learned in physical therapy....and I try to walk a lot too.
Anyway, good luck at work today....working weekends is HARD WORK!!!
(((hugs)))
But we're not normies...and that makes a really, really big difference.
