Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.
Additionally, I promised God, I would not ever allow myself to get that close again -- spent a whole year trying not to jump in front of a bus. Started making flags of behavior so I could stop, or medicate, or think,. or put on music and dance like a fool, anything, AND I MEAN ANYTHING, to feel good, that is LEGAL.
Had to go through many episodes to master it. So if it doesn't work the first time, keep with therpay, learn from your therpist, and you too, grass-hopper, shall learn the ways of the BP2 force. (said to make you smile).
Good luck in your search for peace. May the angels watch over you while you journey.
But my tdoc does help me take the edge off.
Peace,

In the future I would create and action/escalation plan detailing what to do when you first feel an episode coming on, when you are in an episode, when the episode feels critical and when the episode gets completely out of hand. I learned how to create a plan the last time I was in the hospital. I gave a copy to a close friend and my doctor. It helps make me feel safe knowing that I have a plan of what to do and when. It also is there when I needed to use it.
