I found out several things today from my MD.
The most startling: I take Lamictal and Venlafaxine. I also try to get sleep with Melatonin and L-Theanine. The most recent bottle I got OTC of L-Theanine was co-mingled with Ashwagandha. Now i make a practice of trying to look at any source of info I can on drug and condition interactions with anything i take. I looked everywhere for Ashwagandha. The closest blip on the radar showed as may help with anxiety or something like that. So I have been taking it nightly. Now I have discovered I am at risk for Serotonin Sydrome because of that So. I'd no idea that it tinkered with Serotonin. So I have to stop. BUT, you cannot just toss the bottle. It builds up a level in the bloodstream and has to be tapered over a period of weeks. Every otherday, then every two days, etc.
For those taking thyroid medicines like levothyroxine, apparently I've been doing that wrong too for years. Take in the morning one hour before anything including other medicines. So I thought I'd pass this along as a heads up not only for these meds but for any new supplements that might interact. My caution wasn't enough. That's what we pay the doctors for.

Today mom and I are taking Moo and Copper to the vet for vaccines. I'm watching a movie having coffee while copper snoozes in between my knees. What does Thursday look like for you?

I hope you have a sunny day!

By the way, that includes no coffee or anything except water. That's a tough one when I get up.
