As for vitamins, I take several and not sure in my brain fog I will remember all....each has its purpose and I added gradually to make sure I wasnt just popping it cuz someone told me to. They each do make a difference.
I take flaxseed and cod liver oil, calcium, multivitamin with extra iron, vitamin D, vitamin super B complex which is a combo of B's, oh and also a probiotic for healthy stomach flora. With all the psych meds we take it helps our digestion and we absorb food better. I actually did notice that I didnt crave carbs as much and I have much less bloating and maintain a much lower weight. I am missing something but not sure what.....hope this helps..........xo
Thanks Andrea.....I appreciate your post.
It's me....got set off. Thanks of the support everyone....there have been alot better days for me on Ds.

If you posted about vitamins and mineral supplements, the answer is YES! I take so many I couldn't post them all. I have multiple illnesses, and they really help. I am med free for bipolar, which doesn't make me normal, but definitely under control. Vitamins, combined with exercise and a relationship with God through Christ.
I'm thinking, and it's just a possibility, but I'm thinking that if you posted anything about nutrients or supplements that no one may have even opened up your thread to respond. There are so many people who get on here with hidden agendas to promote certain supplements as the "cure" for bipolar, etc. I pretty much just skip over anything like that without much of a thought. It's possible that others do this also. You'll notice that this thread is getting plenty of responses and the topic has nothing to do with supplements. Just a possible explanation.
Yeah, it does feel crappy when you get no return posts, no messages, no hugs and you're left out in the desert to fend for yourself *sound of violins* as the sun sets on another day of absolute hell in a world of pain, suffering and boredom *sniff, sniff* while the fruit bats fly overhead just waiting for any opportunity to steal your fruit.
Seriously, I hope that you are able to get some relief soon. Fruit bat and the rest of us are all here for you. : - )
Post more about your results with supplements, if you want. I'm interested.
BTW, I've felt ignored a few times, too, but in fact it's kind of cool how one can come and go here, say what one wants. And see how many people responded to you! Kudos for being real about your feelings...sometimes I just brood.

So, given that, I will say I am sorry you have not gotten very many responses. I know how frusterating that can feel.
However, if you are ever in serious need of some focused advice or support, dont hesitate to send me a PM. [I might not get back immediately, but I will respond]
Peace and love to you,
TS
