This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.

I was reminded today that I am "special." All my life, I've been measured, prodded, shaped, molded, pounded, traumatized, emotionally abused and basically told by the world that I am a misfit, a freak, an idiot and just plain "wrong" in the eyes of the world. Coming to mind is that movie "The Giver" where everyone sees in black and white.
You know that I cannot cry. I had a bad day yesterday. I went to the Social Security Office and they told me that I had the wrong documents. I was with a religious fanatic and we were in the heat. I had to behaveve. I DID register my son for school.
My daugter called from out of state and the military branch that she's in is telling her that she's a fraud because a psychologist NOT a psychiatrist said that she has bipolar.
Then, this morning, I read my medical records from a local hospital and was sick to my stomach. The surface of my persfect life was shattered.
Lastly, the receptionist just came bounding down to my office. I'm strung out from being in 100 degree heat, from having to "perform" in front of my religious nut friend as a person who is calm and does not cuss, and stressed out over my husband. The receptionist just tried to come on into the office-She didn't knock. She had the new intern and I started talking about the office and I was corrected and made a fool of myself. So, I said something about Richard being registered and IT hought I was doing well, but I guess not.
I can't cry. I can't do anything. I'm mental. I'm a social failure. I want to just cry.
I feel stupid. I'm exhausted. I'm an idiot.

Here is my new brother, copper :) He's so tiny! Moo and Tuck were ok with him on first meeting. Rocket due to his severe aggression will never meet Cooper.

Hugs!
It is hot as all get out here, too. Triple digits. If I ever get too hot I have a hard time cooling off. A splash of cold water to the face helps cool you and calm you.
Now all you need to do is put yourself in "Take a number" mode. That means tune everyone out, tell them to take a number and you will call them when it's their turn. Haha!! You can't help it if their turn never comes.
As for the receptionist - Just because someone thinks they are hot shit on a stick does not mean they ARE hot shit on a stick. Tell her to take a number.
Hugs for you. I hope you feel better soon.
