Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.

I think someone on DS is hitting on me.This person might be hitting on other members of DS too.Does this happen to anyone else?
deleted_user
I haven't had any problems so far but I will definitely keep my eyes open.
joybells
This is the first time this has happened to me.He could be serious who knows but I have trust issues so I'm on guard.
deleted_user
so who is doing this? Would like to know what to look out for...im new on here.

I looked at your hugs joy and noticed a couple suspicious hugs from "David". Is that who you are speaking of ? I also looked at his profile and see that he has sex addictions. If he has sent you private messages other than the hugs that you feel uncomfortable with, report the abuse. I would not add him as a friend either. Be careful here as anywhere else. We do have predators that sneek in occassionally.

I noticed that the two of you are in a mutual group on DS but not the bipolar group. If this is who you are speaking of, why did you post this here and not the group that the two of you belong to?
joybells
David is who I'm talking about.

so quit responding. You better be careful too, because I see you are both from Ohio and that is probably why he is targeting you. Lock up your journals to only your friends and remove his friendship. You have yourself too open to him.

Looks like you are hitting on him more than he is hitting on you. Maybe you are freaking him out.
joybells
No I am not hitting on him.I just got out of a marriage.I was just trying to be friendly.

sorry joybells...if you are uncomfortable with this guy, you should either ignore him or talk to him about it...it is a common thing on the internet to be hit on, so be very careful sweetie

I have lrft that group and deleted him as a friend becase I know it's the right thing to do after thinking about things.I am not well myself because I've had so many issues going on.I need time to heal.

This may seem pretty prejudiced but if you think someone is hitting on you......they probably are. Don't be a fool. I know from 57 years experience that the LAST thing I need is to be emotionally involved with someone else who is BP. Don't be desperate...... wait for someone who is emotionally stable & willing to be your partner no matter how hard that may be. Two BP partners are a prescription for disaster!

Just ignore him if you don't like it or tell him to stop :-) Personally though I've always taken that as a compliment lol

I see now you have taken the advice given here joy. That is very wise of you, especially with what he has written about himself on his P/SA profile, and that you both live in the same homestate. For all you know, he could be closer than you even know. Be careful. (((HUGS)))
