I've been missing out on college lately , I don't attend anymore , I guess I'll flunk some subjects , I may even be forced to repeat the year over again .
The thing is , I used to be the perfect student , everybody wished they were me , I got the highest score in my first year in college and ranked the top of my class , now I just can't do anything , I have no energy what so ever.
I wish people would know I'm sick instead of thinking I got dumb or something which is in part , true because of my meds.
Wishing that people would understand my situation is pitiful which makes me feel even worse.
Poor mom , all she wanted was to see me become an architect and here I am letting her down.

For me, I would love everyone to understand - its human, to want understanding.... I try to understand my family and friends, understand their frustration and love, and how they wish they could fix me - too!
Are you stable? Meds can be adjusted, I have found a great med at too high a dose, I can't read or concentrate - but adjusting it to a working level - but not too high, I can function BETTER!
You do not sound like your doing well - so, maybe the meds need to be changed or adjusted AGAIN! You can keep trying - and will need too! This is a ongoing fight in life....
We are here for you, and we do understand! If you don't go to school, what will you do? No school or job is torture too me, all that empty time - makes me worse......
Do you want to be an architect? Or is all your plans, your mothers dreams and not yours?
Wishing you peace and comfort ASAP!!!!
I dropped out of school for a good job, and now I wish I would have stayed in. I am without a job now and living on disability and it's not enough to live on my own with so I have to stay with my parents and I am 30 years old.. It's not a good situation.
Keep going it will pay off
I just put one foot in front of the other and do the best I can. I'm not getting any younger and I do want this degree.
Why not contact your colleges disability office and see if they can help you? I've never used it, but hear they can help you when you have a disability I think all you need is a letter from your pdoc saying you need extra help.
You can do this, don't drop out.
Try to see what resources you have...who can support you during college...help you to maintain am even keel.
I'm sure your mum only wants the best for you...and will love you no matter what the difficulty you are in. Let her in on your struggle, if you think it right.
Key is not to give up on yourself altogether!
Everything in life is temporary!! A passing moment and situation.
Talk to your university advisor and counseling center. It is easy to get overwhelmed when a student!
I found that I severely lacked basic study skills. I also had undiagnosed ADHD. It takes me forever to organize, complete simple tasks...frustrating...

You do have rights...a long as you are in the US, at least.
No one can make you feel inferior without your own consent. Eleanor Roosevelt.
Once you're stable sweetie you can pick up where you left off even if you have to repeat some classes..
There's no reason to give up just take a little time to get well...x
I'm a 56 yr.old woman, who worked for 30 yrs. when I had a major depressive episode, and was diagnosed bp. Unfortunately, I went to a pdoc, who I believed was helping me, I was brainwashed by him into applying and going on disablity. I feel that if I had changed pdocs at that time and gotten on appropriate meds I could've continued to work. I am a registered nurse, have a bachelor's degree, and was working on my master's degree. I ended up on disability when I was about 50, and have not been able to get hired, the old job, well, I should've fought them through equal opportunity emplooyment and I could have continued working, with their support. I found all this out after I was on disablity, and too much time had lapsed for me to sue my former employer, who basically made it impossible fror me to work. On disablity, after working full-time positions I get a check for $1800/month. This is really not enough to live on the way I was use to. Fortunately, or unfortunately, at 56 I live with my 83yr. old parents, and will through inheritence be able to support myself. I beg you do not let the school or that stupid professor discourage or belittle you. You are smart and intelligent and have already proved it by the proof of your previous grades. The American Disablity Act, supports you. Please, you are young do not let anybody, tell you that you cannot work or go to school, fight it with all you got. It aint gonna be easy, but you deserve to be treated with respect. It sounds like you have the support of your parents too, please give it one more try. I have confidence in you. The picture right now might seem grim, but you can do it. Be strong. Don't let others judge you. I will pray u will be able to complete your education, and be able to work. Good Luck! many hugs, tedi
Take some time off and focus on your mental health. Then when you feel up to it again go back to college.
Don't make the same mistake I made!
And that instructor had no right to say what he did to you. It just goes to show you how uneducated and narrow minded some educated people can be.
Even if you're postponed a year before there are ways to address your condition. Reasonable accomodations or time off. They can't penalise you for taking needed time if you're ill. I speak from experience. It took me 6 years to finish my BA, and it's taken almost 10 to get through my M.A. Don't give up and don't be discouraged.
We're here to help and support you.
