I was wondering if anyone has tried Zyrtech while on their meds. I am pretty sure I have an upper respetory infection from allergies. They just recently started selling it over the counter. Has anyone tried it or heard good things about it?

You don't get an infection from allergies, and you don't treat it with anti-histamines.

If it's only allergies you have, I've been on Zyrtec, and it would knock me out totally. I switched to Claritine (also over the counter). Maybe not as efficient, but absolutely no knocking out.

I have taken Zyrtec for a couple of years now. Does not seem to interact with my meds. I am drowsy anyway so, I don't see any difference. But...if you have an infection, hon, you need to go see doc. Try MucinexDM, that's what I have been taking. It's a cough suppressant and decongestant that is OTC and my doc told me to get it. If you try that, Nick, for a couple of days and it doesn't get better, then please go see doc. I am just getting over the same thing sounds like you have.

ALWAYS ask the Pharmacist,if ANY OTC drugs you take (includeing even Aspirin) will adversely react with your BP meds.

Don't know about Zyrtech, but here's some very soft tissues, some vitamin C's and some nice warm herbal tea!
