Hey all, i know its been quite awhile since i posted on here. Its been a summer all right. Its been something else........... You know how they say not to open the can of worms? Well a few months ago i decided to find out what my due date would have been for my first baby, the one conceived by r***. My baby would have been due on March 4th of 2006. They would be 20 years old. I was R**** on June...

What I can say is that the memory loss is a big issue, especially after having had so many, at the beginning it wasn't so bad but the more I have had the worse my memory has become, there are years of my life that have just gone but for me that can only be a good thing but overall ECT is the only treatment which has worked for me as I have treatment resistant depression, absolutely no medication works for me hence I have to have about 15 session a year, maintenance ECT they call it.
I really hope it helps you too Hanna and I'm sure it will, best of luck for wednesday.
I hope you remember me
I had 6 treatments back in 1997. I had horrible headaches afterwards. I also lost some memories around that time period and have never got them back. Did they work for me? I don't think so, but maybe I needed more of them. I don't know. The headaches went away several hours later, but the memories are gone.
Never did a thing for me but give me some mild memory loss.
Wouldn't do it again. Hope its better for you. Good luck.
ECT is not like it was. They give you a really tinydose, just enough to have a fit. The doctor and the team keep a close watch of the process.
yes you may loos some memory just after, but this is temporary. It does not hurt. Ask for a leflet that explains what it is. Otherwise go through it. You should feel calmer. My wife did. abig hug for your sessions. come back when it's all finished to tell us what you felt.
I would not go that route for anything, but you have to make your own decisions.
