well my moms boy friend picked me up so I will get to see her tomorrow in the hospital. I don't know when they will be doing surgery but now they will be doing both operations before they were saying only one at a time. But we still don't know when they will do them. They said she has a tumor the size of a tennis ball and it's pressing on her spine. She had one like this years ago when she had a hysterectomy. that one was the size of a grape fruit and it was also pressing on her spine.

Whats funny is she didn't want to go to the doctor but Dave made her. I'm glad he did because she would have let this go and probably died with her stubbornness. It just makes me cry when I think that should could have died appendicitis is serious and needs to be taken care of. I wish she would take better care of her health. Also she was nervous about taking off work because her boss is an asshole who always threatens to fire her. She's been working there for years now her new boss is giving her shit. She's a good worker she doesn't deserve that! It pisses me off.

I am very sorry to hear this! I am very close to my mom as well. She is one of the few who understands what I go through, or even truly tries to. Things can change in life so quickly. My dad is in the mix of serious health problems right now as well. I really hope that somehow she pulls through all these things and you can have more time to spend with her. I obviously do not not know your mother but I think it is safe to assume that she would want you to try and stay strong as much as possible. Please take care of yourself and be strong for your mother.

Oh doorknob I am so sorry to hear this. Your poor mom. I can relate to how you feel, I too am in terror of my mum dying. I know it will happen one day but I know I will fall apart for a very long time.

Like all the others say, don't cross your bridge until you come to it. Time spent fearing the worst is time wasted. So easy for me to say I know but do try and keep your thoughts on positive strength and healing for your mom.

FWIW, your mom sounds really tough. Will has a huge impact on disease. I know someone who lived three years longer than she should have, because she was too damn stubborn to be told what to do, which was die.

I don't know how to be of any consolation to you. I'm glad your mom's BF got her to the hospital, and I'm glad that she seems to be getting appropriate, fast medical care. I'm so sorry you have to go through this. Please take care of yourself. Eat, sleep, etc. If you don't it'll just be harder.
