Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.

using anti-psychotics I always felt like my face was a stiff mask and I'm glad those days are gone. Your experience may be different. I wish you a solution.
Be safe and find some extra support.....((((( hugs))))
Growing up I wasn't allowed to cry. There'd be some serious abuse if I did. So I was conditioned to think that if I cry I'm weak. But since I've been going to therapy (and I always thought therapy was bullshit), I was talked to and talked to and talked to that I need to cry. I need to mourn the past, which I never, ever thought would come bite me in the ass. But it did. I never mourned deaths. I never mourned abuse. I never let feelings out unless it just got to a breaking point. My therapist told me that people HAVE TO cry because those tears release feel-good chemicals in your brain. It's a natural coping mechanism that everyone has. Sick or not. "Normal" people have to cry.
I'm not sure if you don't cry for the same reasons or not. (Makes you feel weak, guilty, timid...) or if it's your medication, but if you need to, I've learned that you need to. Period. If it's your medication, I'm not exactly sure what to tell you there, hon. I wish I could help. Hugs for ya. XOXO
