I feel like that when I'm in deep Bipolar Depression. It does feel like something or someone has taken over. I try to do all the strategies I have leaned in therapy, AA and spiritual means, but I can't even get through the actual strategy because my mind is so overtaken. Often I just have to sit this stuff out because I can't even make a small imprint on my mind. It's so bloody awful and I've been having loads more Bipolar Depression lately than in a long time.

I definitely feel like I'm going crazy, maybe unhinged when I am like this.

It could be a schitzofenic symptom.

I take that back, I meant dissacoiative disorder symptom.

I'm not dissociating. I guess to say that I feel completely out of control is too extreme. It is more like the bipolar has taken over. I'm not my normal self and it feels like something is keeping me from being me.

I was doing alot of reading on did. There are different levels and what you described was almost an exact wording.

Yes, Allie, I used to feel that way alot when I was younger. It felt like I knew I was a different person, something else was there, the world was just happening around me. Once I began to understand who I was and take steps to find my own identity, those feelings lessened. I dont think there always has to be something wrong with us to feel that way. Sometimes we get so caught up in what others want from us and the world expects, that the junk just piles on. Our true self is in there somewhere, we just have to develope us. xo

I have bipolar depression and that is exactly how it feels.
