I'm an Alcoholic...apparently

I was just in touch with my disability insurance company. If BP were my primary dx I'd be covered for life, instead, my primary dx is "major depressive disorder and ALCOHOL ABUSE".

I DON'T DRINK!!! AT ALL!!!

I've been between my pdoc and the insurance company trying to right this complete wrong, but everyone is pinning blame on the other and nothing is getting done.

I don't even know where they got this from. BP is my differential dx, just another way for U.S. insurance companies to fuck you.

Just a rant. I'm pissed.

I kinda toyed with the idea of becoming an alcoholic after hearing that, but I just don't like drinking. Someone better do something soon before I get all BP on their asses. haha

Appeal their decision and then while you are waiting find a good reason to get hospitalized. This should help you a lot.

If it doesn't then resort to murder, but I wanted to kill my boss and I ended up in the looney bin.

who wrote this diagnosis? Find out who it was and have it expunged from your records. Tell them you will have a pee test every week for as long as it takes to prove you don't drink.
I made the mistake of telling my pcp that I hallucinated and he wrote on my chart that I am schizophrenic, which I am not. I am bp with psychotic features, now I have to fight to get that removed.
Drs are messed up.

Focus on youself right now since you are not in control of the situation. Are you getting any better? It will all work out, hang in there. This is a bullshit process, I am in it now.
