I know about this illness. I've spent countless hours delving in how to overcome it, what it is, what you should do.

See a pdoc, get meds...it'll take a long time possibly to find the right mix. See a tdoc, do talk therapy as often as possible. Try CBT, if that doesn't work, try DBT. Proper diet, exercise, routine...pace yourself. When all else fails, ECT. Have a problem? Call your pdoc. Feel like you're going to hurt yourself? or someone else? Go to the ER. Lots of other stuff that would fill much more than even my own attention span can handle.

So...I know what I need to do. Why the hell can't I do all that? Duh, yeah, I'm BP. But if you know EXACTLY what you need to do...and you know that if you do it chances are that you will get out of the horror you're living (well, possibly)...wouldn't that be enough motivation to get you off your ass?

You would think so huh? I just try to take my meds and laugh each day. Try to hang on to the hope that one day I'll be able to live life again.

yeah you would think so. But it the bouts of depression its too hard to get up some days and in the bouts of mania you dont feel like you need to do anything else cuz you feel so good lol

Just look at all of the people in here that are doing well,I know it's hard and seems so impossible some days. Take the high road to a healthy life ,it's more work and harder but the rewards are many and life is long.

I have been forcing myself to for the past couple of days and its actually helping me feel better. getting out and about and being around people. Just trying to live life. It feels good and wierd at the same time. Hopefully you will find what you need to do. Have you been forcing yourself to get out and about?

I've been forcing myself to remember my supplements and to just get the kids ready for school in time.

Honestly, my Mother took them pumpkin picking this morning and through a corn maze...I dropped my daughter off at a party, picked her up and my Mother just took the kids to a church pot-luck dinner. I'm glad she's doing this for them, but I feel like a piece of $H*t for not being able to force myself to.
