Why did the doc take you off the seroquel??

Heretic I know you are not dong Christmas this year but would it help to go spend some time helping out somewhere ?? Like a homeless shelter or soup run or something ?? It would keep you occupied and maybe you would not dwell on things so much. I can understand completely if you can't do this but was just throwing stuff out there.

i hear you. supposedly spending the whole day in bed is the worst thing we can do but I may still actually do it.

sometimes you just have to wait till the darkness passes. I would ordinarily say lots of rah-rah stuff but I would just be being a hypocrite. Right now I'm all for holing up, crying and staying in bed. It's probably unhealthy though. i also don't want to end up crying in public; ive done it a lot and it's embarassing.

sorry you feel so bad. I do too. I kind of hate myself and am afraid to really talk to anyone.

The doc replaced the Seroquel with Abilify, which I take with 3 other meds. And I appreciate the suggestion to get out of the house, but I can't for a number of reasons. I just want to sleep.

Well I take Abilify now, everyday a low dose. And I am told to take seroquel for the severe agitation and irrational thoughts I have at times.....so I know you can take them together. I usually take a 50mg seroquel on the worst of days. I'm no doc though, I do hope you find some peace and sleep heretic...ox

I recently had to get off of my seroquel because of supply and demand. Seroquel costs about a thousand dollars for a month supple of it.

It took over a month to withdraw from it properly. A friggen month.

I hope the sleeping helps...sometimes that's all i can do too....i just got over a nap...think I'll go outside and get some air for a bit...i'll just sit in my car...with the window down coz I can't walk very well...the boyz are out messing with tractors and so i guess i'll go sit next to em' and "breath some diesel fumes" I hope your day gets better soon...hang in here...this place really does help

You wont be the first of us to want to sleep though your depression and you won't be the last.

I don't know if Seroquel will interact badly with your current meds. Only your doctor can tell you that.

Your problems and feelings will still be there though when the sleep meds wear off.

How about we all brainstorm a plan for trying to improve your life next year?? Peanuts had a good suggestion and I was going to ask you to have a think about some volunteer work you can do to connect you more into society and feel positive and useful.
