Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.
I can't control my mood swings. My therapist says the medicine is to help me not feel my emotions so deeply, but I don't think I'm strong enough. This morning I was so mad I ripped off my shower curtain and threw all of my clothes out of the window because I couldn't find a pair of shoes I wanted to wear. I hate my episodes like these. I feel like a little child throwing a temper tantrum but I can't control it. My OCD isn't helping. When I can't get something "right" it triggers an episode. How do you guys deal with it? I'm on Lamictal, Wellbutrin, and Prozac.

Some things we don't talk about, we breathe them... Some things cannot be explained, but rather experienced. Some of the most healing moments arise when given the memory, acknowledging the love. One cannot go back in time; we move forward, and we carry the love we shared. No one but ourselves has the power to do so, or the permission to do so, but ourselves. So live life with your faith and...

I've been feeling like I don't matter my wife the other day instead of telling me she was having a pain day when I went to have sex with her she tell me afterwards that she having pain day due to her fribromyalgia and making feel like shit afterward saying she has a list of things from past 9 years of thing for me to do and is always adding more and more to this list and talk...

But are your sure bipolar is behind these temper tantrums?
The kind of impatience you talk about I've certainly had but it persists for days or weeks unless I take extra meds. At times like those I also have other symptoms, poor sleep, constant mental chatter, speaking and moving quickly, plus mentally jumping all over the place - are you getting those symptoms as well?
I suggest this because it's not situations that cause an episode - I'm already in one - that could be due to long term stress or it's just it's time - but frustration wouldn't trigger an episode
just to add - the prozac might not be helping - it could be creating some of this.
It could be the prozac - that can set people with bipolar on edge - so taking that away might make things better.
Then it's possible increasing the doses of one of the meds you are on might help - or there are always lots of other meds.
Unfortunately it takes a while to get these things right.
What helped? Taking time everyday to meditate and find out what my inner self was feeling and it was often different from what my outer self presented as.
I need to exercise everyday, eat a reasonable diet, and sleep well if these things go out of whack I'm a sitting duck medication or not. I use a "mood scale" if 10 is the best you ever felt and 1 the worst what is your number today? Numbers above or below 5 require attention...
