Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.
I have a mood chart in front of me,I'll write in some of the "Mania" criteria
Hyper,Nonstop talking,Paranoid,Hears voices,Incoherent, can't funtion,Elated or wild, little or no sleeping ,loss of control and thought organization, hospitalization.
Usually by the time you have accelerated to this stage, you are unaware of it,and may need intervention.
Still a high end hypomania...not quite manic yet..give yourself some time..maybe a real manic episode is in your future?
I hope not,for your sake.
I did experience I full blown manic episode last December to the point where my pdoc wanted me hospitalized, but there were no beds available and I convinced him I wasn't a threat to myself or anyone else (sucker!!!)... but it was damn scary and I don't ever want to go back there again. It only lasted a couple of days but not a place I would wish on my worst enemy.
...and you're right... there is no level of this ugly Monster that is easy to deal with.
Oldies, but Goodies, like you and I, know that all too well.
